To indicate the tree size, two men can be seen stretching out their arms around the base of the tree trunk. Historical note - In 1854, Niven left the merchant navy and migrated to Victoria. He set up business in Ballarat where he became a leading printer and publisher. In 1897 he opened a branch in Melbourne, which eventually became the base of the family business.
