The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. This is a photograph of Alan and Lorin Bishop as children, mounted in a 1949 Christmas card. The card had been specifically printed for Mabel and Harry Bishop's family and bears Christmas greetings "from Mabel and Harry, Alan and Lorin Bishop, 'Hwaiyin', Dunkeld, Victoria, Aust."
