Agent TypeOrganisationHistoryThe University of Melbourne Alumni Association came into being by Standing Resolution of Council on 3 December 1884, aiming "to encourage interaction among the University, its graduates, diplomates and former students, to engender support for the University, to inform alumni about the activities of the University and to co- ordinate the work of alumni groups in faculties, colleges and the Graduate Union". An Office was established in the former Kidd's building, owned by the Graduate Union, with Trevor Wigney as first Secretary. On 18 October 1993 the name of the Office changed to University of Melbourne Alumni and Development Unit.
