The last meeting took place on 4 June 1972, after which it became known as the Committee on Staff. There was no change in its terms of reference. This committee held its first meeting on the 18th July and its last on 2 May 1992 after which it became known as the Academic Staff Development Committee. The Committee comprised of senior officers of the University including the Vice-Chancellor and later included the Director of Personnel Services and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Resources).
