The papers are a combination of personal and business papers. Among the personal papers of RW Nutt are files relating to a marriage settlement, properties, and wills and estates. The papers of EJ Murphy consist of a number of deeds that came into his possession after he took over the office, business and papers of the late John Clarke in 1862. The volumes mainly relate to the management of clients’ business, financial and accounting activities, particularly deed books managing legal documents relating to clients’ properties, rights or interests.
