tgm003079Scope NoteDirect-positive images produced electronically through the use of a digital camera when light from a subject strikes charge-coupled sensors (or similar devices). The images are electronic files that can be transferred to computers for editing and storage. They often have file headers with such information as capture date, caption text, photographer name, and technical image characteristics. The photographs are typically viewed on computer screens or printed using inkjet or laser devices or light-sensitive photographic papers.
