Correspondence includes letters from their son David Medley, written during his war service in the Royal Australian Navy, during which he survived the sinking of the HMAS Canberra in 1942. Many items are pasted in but the volume contains many interleavings and loose pages. The first part of the scrapbook covers the years 1941-1950, when Medley retired as Vice-Chancellor. Loose pages and interleavings at the end of the volume contain published obituaries of Medley and Orders of Memorial Services, 1962. Many photographs and press clippings are undated and unidentified but the volume is a valuable source on Medley's tenure as V-C and on the Medley family.Access StatusOpen for public accessRequest TypeRequest unitUnit1964.0001 Unit 0003Copyright StatusIn copyright - publication rights grantedConditions of Use and ReproductionThis item is in copyright.
