To find her way home she wrote a letter in her own language, knowing little English other than the words 'paper' and 'please' that enabled her to be rescued and brought home, via a 2 week stay at the Duguid residence, described in detail. This item may contain both handwritten and printed writing in Pitjantjatjara language, as well as detailed information about the girl Nganya and the people surrounding the story, such as Mr Trudinger, Dr. and Mrs. Chas. Duguid and their children Rosemary and Andrew [booket features a photo of Rosemary, Andrew and Nganyintjanya together, looking happy].
