The front cover features a map of Australia, underneath which is a boomerang with the words "The Field : Australia : 70,000 Aborigines" inscribed in it. Contents of the publication include: News from the Mission Stations, which describes recent news and finances at Stations in certain States. New South Wales includes Nulla Nulla-Bellbrook, Burnt Bridge-Kempsey, "Nanima"-Wellington, Purfleet-Taree, Bomaderry Home, Roseby Park, and La Perouse. Western Australia includes Mount Margaret Mission and details news written by Miss Jones, Miss Jackson, Helen and Arthur Mathews, and Chas. and Bertha Payne, who speak of the work and progress of the Aboriginal children and teenagers, naming one child as "Little Myrtle". South Australia includes details of a camp visitation at Oodnadatta, written by Miss Turner, who describes the camp as a miserable and dangerous place, providing much detail of the Australian Aboriginal peoples she witnessed there. Also covers Ooldea, and Swan Reach "Ebenezer". The back cover is titled "The Children's Page", a story conducted by "Uncle Will", care of the United Aborigines' Mission. may contain a photographic image of children at Mount Margaret Mission.
