From 1917 until her death in 1926, Alice operated a chauffeur service in Kew, first from a hired garage in at 67 Cotham Road, Kew and then later from Kew Garage, her business at 88 Cotham Road, Kew.
Founded in 1919, Anderson operated Kew Garage, employing an all-female staff of drivers and mechanics and provided chauffeur services, mechanical maintenance and garaging facilities.
Inscription: Alice Anderson & young friend on one of their weekend trips. She arranged to pay balance owing on her half-share of the Hupmobile bought by J.T.N.A. for the Blacks' Spur Motor Service he inaugurated in 1914.
