A mounted print of the original photograph was located by a researcher in 2026 among loose photographic stock in an antique shop in Meeniyan, Victoria. The front right corner of the mount is embossed: W. J. Howship, Benalla, Vic. Beneath the photograph is the handwritten inscription: “George in his garden.” The surname “Price” has been added below in different blue ink.
