William was awarded the Military Cross in France and died at Clear Creek (Eldorado) near Beechworth in 1921. Marjorie ran the Clear Creek tin-mining lease until her death in 1971. The two young boys are believed to be their nephews, Cecil Graham Johnson (left) and (right) William Oswald Johnson.
