The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. This photograph shows a view looking down the main street, with a man on horseback in the centre of the road. On the right-hand side of the photo are the premises of R. McKenzie and Sons' Grain Stores and J. Mackenzie Wholesale and Retail Family Store, Est. 1855. Photo on a decorative cardboard mount, may have been part of a personal collection.
