The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. Included amongst these are a group of travel postcards from various parts of England, France and Egypt, which were kept together. They were sent to Dolly or Louisa Bishop from various people, during 1915-1916. The group comprises of 40 postcards and one large photo. This individual photo shows a rugby team. The nationality of the players and their individual identities are unknown. It is doubtful that this photograph was produced as a commercial postcard.
Inscription: Pencilled on verso is 'Rugby team, S.S.A.B.(?).
