The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. Photograph shows a four-wheel horse-drawn carriage. Handwritten in ink on verso (seems to be a price list): "Sample 45 pounds ; in leather 47 pounds ; h. p. axles & duck (?) 42 ; Platform carriage 55 pounds." Pencilled on verso in a different hand is "T. Chadwick, Kavranake, Havelock". In yet another hand is written "1898, N.Z. 1898."
