The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. This photograph shows a six-wheeled truck, parked beside a wooded area on a street. The truck belongs to 'J.L. Stuart, Manufacturing Co., San Fransisco, Decorating Specialists'. Writen on the verso is a description of the truck, as follows: "31 ft. long overall, 150 hp driving 4 wheels, will carry 14 tons easily. 3 individual winches, an automatic stroke drive, and 15 tone stoke puller. Californian tent makers, erectors and canvas goods van, Stuart, San Francisco". Body of truck has been printed in colour, on a black and white background. Truck is yellow, with red lettering and silver trim.
