The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. This photograph shows the grave headstone of "Joseph Eldred Bishop, Aug. 12 1884, Mary Anne, his wife, July 27 1934, their children, Eveleyn Matilda, May 23, 1879, Mary Ellen, March 9 1883". Written in ink on the verso: "Beechworth Cemetery, January 1951. From Eldred."
