The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. This photograph shows a panoramic view of Beechworth under snow, with children in the foreground. The reverse bears a message to Mr. A Bishop of (421 Bourk St Melbourne) from a friend. The message includes the line "this is a snow scene taken in our paddock". This image was produced and used as a postcard.
