The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. This photo shows a view of a four-wheeled, single-horse, covered buggy, with a horse, parked in a lane. Described on verso as: 'Buggy built by J.E. Bishop senior at Beechworth. Photo was taken about 1918 by owner Fred McKenzie, Newtown. Buggy was then 40 to 50 years old and had original wheels".
