The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. This photo shows the side view of a bus. Written on the side of the bus is "Croydon Park Motor Bus Service. Croydon Park to Sydney, via South Ashfield, Lewisham Hospital, Summer Hill, Leichardt. Motor Bus 259". The display board in front reads: "This is the largest bus in Australia built by S. Wright, the leading motor body builders, 571-577 Harris St, Sydney. Established 53 years. On verso of the photograph is "40 passenger A.E.C. Largest bus in Australia. Body is 25 ft. overall by 7 ft. 6 (?). City Council bus is 8 ft., seats 40; stated 28(?) in hand, inc. women and children cost 350 pounds. Most can get in a bus of that description now in Sydney is 33 ft. (?)"
