The family moved to Melbourne in the late 1880s, where one son became the proprietor of the trade journal 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. The collection consists of family photographs and photographs used to illustrate 'The Australasian Coachbuilder and Saddler'. This photo shows a group of men and women seated under trees. Written on verso: "Conference of Aust.Carriage Builders Association held at Sydney. Shows group at excursion to Purnell, where Captain Cook first landed. J.E.B. is reading from record of landing." A placard shown in the picture says "By-Laws : Captain Cook's Landing Place..". J.E.B. is at the left of the image, standing next to a man with an umbrella.
