This postcard was sent to Miss Bishop in August 1908. The inscription on the back includes the comment "Your last (postcard) is quite a new style. This is the nearest like it I can get - makes rather a pretty picture too, I think, don't you?" probably referring to the hand coloured gardens in front of the Asylum buildings. Inscription: Lengthy ink inscription on verso. Addressed to Miss Bishop, Baarmutha, Bambra Rd, Caulfield. Postmark and postage stamp on verso. The front of the card says 'Oven's Benevolent Asylum, Beechworth 103'. Also 'The Crown Studios, Sydney'. 'R.J.
