The sign near the sun dial on the lawn warns visitors that they must not touch the plants, trees or flowers in the grounds. This postcard was sent to Miss Bishop in 1909. The inscription on the back doesn't refer to the Hospital, but does note that this coloured postcard only cost 1d. Inscription: Lengthy ink inscription on verso. Addressed to Miss Bishop, Baarmutha, Bambra Rd, Caulfield. Postmark and postage stamp on verso. The front of the card says 'Hospital for Insane, Beechworth 102'. Also 'The Crown Studios, Sydney'.
