Many were taken in Sydney. The subject of this photo appears to be a bicycle race - spectators are lining a path on a beach, watching cyclists pass by. Joseph Bishop arrived in Melbourne during the goldrushes, ultimately establishing a coach building business at Beechworth, which was later transferred to Euroa.
