L-R: Vin Bird (Bourke?), Jean Adams, Audrey Blake (Secretary of the Eureka Youth League) and Jim Adams. Taken at either the Eureka Youth League Christmas 1946 camp or the first camp on the Yarra Junction site in January 1947. Camp Eureka was built after the Second World War by the Eureka Youth League, the Communist Party and the trade union movement. The Communist Party of Australia was founded in Sydney in 1920 by a group of Australian Socialists who were inspired by the Russian revolution. It dissolved in 1991.
Inscription: "EYL Xmas Camp 1946 Vin Bird Jean Adams Audrey Blake Jim Adams" is written in ink on the back of the photograph.
