Sendy was the N.S.W. State Secretary of the Communist Party of Australia and author of "Comrades Come Rally" and "The CPA: History, Thoughts and Questions". The Communist Party of Australia was founded in Sydney in 1920 by a group of Australian Socialists who were inspired by the Russian revolution. It dissolved in 1991.
