Those near the front include Mrs. Groves (2nd from left), Molly Bayne(?), Nola Barber (front), Marion Hartley, her son Wesley (on her right), Gonzales and Sally Johnson (3rd from left). The Communist Party of Australia was founded in Sydney in 1920 by a group of Australian Socialists who were inspired by the Russian revolution. It dissolved in 1991.
