There is also a press cuttings file of items about Shute, including reviews of his novels, reviews of the film 'On the beach'; articles about his residency in Australia and about the litigation that ensued after his death to settle his estate.
Note on file: In some of the material Shute expresses his interest in Meanjin and his opinions of Australian writing and publishing, however the majority of the papers come from the time of Clem Christesen's career at Heinemann, the publisher of Shute's novels.
