Contains correspondence between Irving Saulwick and two successive editors of The Age (Alan Kohler and Bruce Guthrie), and with a Deputy Chief Executive of John Fairfax Holdings, Michael Hoy. Subjects covered include: review of polling arrangements for The Age and Sydney Morning Herald newspapers; Saulwick's suggestion for international polls and knowledge transfer within the Fairfax Group of newspapers; formal notification of the termination of the association between Irving Saulwick and Associates and the John Fairfax Group; and a proposal seeking reinstatement of the Saulwick Poll as a regular feature in the Age.
Also contains: newsclippings; draft and bound versions of a report by Irving Saulwick and Denis Muller titled 'Why The Age Should Return to Publishing the Saulwick Poll', dated November 1997; letters of comment on the Saulwick Poll (some with supplementary material attached), recieved from John Cain, Malcolm Mackerras and others in response to a request by Saulwick (a copy of the request letter and mailing list are also on file).
