Accession[2013.0008] Papers of Irving David SaulwickIdentifierUMA-ITE-2013000800028Scope and ContentSAUL00028 Imposed title. Loose newsclippings housed in a manila folder with no clear title. An inscribed title 'Report for Theory of Structure 1 Laboratory Experiment No 2' appears on the rear inside cover: this has no obvious relation to the folder contents.
Due to the large volume of material, clippings have been housed across two inventory items, SAUL00027 and SAUL00028, to ensure their preservation. The manila folder is retained in SAUL00027. The majority of articles in Part 2 date from between May 1991 and December 1992, with a small number of undated documents.
Contains clippings, photocopies and faxed copies of articles written by Irving Saulwick and others, published in newspapers and magazines including: The Age; The Sydney Morning Herald; and The Independent. Most articles report the results of specific Saulwick polls, with some material relating to polling more generally, for example: an unpublished essay by Irving Saulwick, 'Changes in the Political Landscape'; and a copy of the April 11-12 edition of The Australian magazine, including an article on pollsters, 'In Poll Position', by Mike Safe. Also includes a feature article from the Age 17 September 1991, 'The bumpy road', (written by Mark Considine, Susan Feldman, Denis Muller and Irving Saulwick), second in a series of articles from the 'Agendas' project, a joint venture between The Age and the University of Melbourne's Political Science Department.
Item also includes a blank copy of Saulwick Poll Questionnaire form for poll conducted 22 November 1991 and a Newspoll press release dated 29 May 1991. Occasional covering notes for articles that were sent to Saulwick by other parties.Access StatusOpen for public accessRequest TypeRequest unitUnit2013.0008 Unit 0004
