Separate paper feeds relating to Age Polls conducted between July 1984 and February 1985 have been removed from a plastic data binder and rehoused across seven archival folders (SAUL00538 - SAUL00544).
Part seven contains two different data reports:
- 'Political Debate Study ** November 1984 (CM2017)' ...inscribed on top page 'Phone Survey. 26/11/84. "The Great Debate" Final.'
- 'Irving Saulwick & Associates Poll - February 1985'. ...inscribed on top page: 'Vic. Only. Feb. 85'.
The November 1984 report consists of a table index and data tables surveying opinion on the performance of Hawke and Peacock in the first televised 'Great Debate' in a Federal election campaign (in which the Prime Minister and Opposition leader of the day debate election issues). A further column of numbers has been inscribed against table 5.
The February 1985 report has no table index. The data tables relate to polling for the March 1985 Victorian State election, covering the follwing issues:
- party that would do a better job regarding: economic growth and jobs in Victoria; keeping down taxes and charges; education in Victoria; health services; transport; strong and stable government
- voting intention for the upcoming State election
- vote at last Federal election
- preferred Premier (Cain; Kennett)
