Series[UMA-SRE-20130018] Tabulated poll dataAccession[2013.0008] Papers of Irving David SaulwickIdentifierUMA-ITE-2013001800102Scope and ContentSAUL00549 Computer tabulated statistical data for Age Poll, printed on continuous feed paper. Separate paper feeds relating to several different polls have been removed from a plastic data binder labelled '1987' and rehoused across six archival folders (SAUL00545 - SAUL00550).
Part five contains three different data reports, generated under the headers:
- 'December Age Poll - 1 December 87'
- 'December Age Poll - 1 December 87'
- 'Gun Laws Survey Conducted by Spectrum Research - 10th December 1987'
SAUL00549 includes data tables covering: prisons (purpose and effect of incarceration); the stock market crash; inclination for using $1000: spend it; bank it; pay off debt; invest; give it away; current financial situation compared to a year ago; predicted financial situation in a years time; abortion; performance of Prime Minister (Hawke) and leader of the Opposition (Howard); voting intention; demographics of respondents; laws governing gun ownership; influences on youth attitudes to violence.
Of the two reports dated 1 December, one consists of tables 1 - 70 and the other consists of tables 19 - 45. The table numbers are not consistent between the two reports: the same table number represents anallysis of different data in each. It appears that the shorter report contains demographic analysis tables only and the longer report contains analysis of the opinion questions.
Some figures in the tables analysing data for the questions on abortion have been circled in pencil.Access StatusOpen for public accessRequest TypeRequest unitUnit2013.0018 Unit 0018
