There are also two white labels hand stitched either side of the original label. One reads, in red "Ducker" the other label in faded handwritten ink reads "A.J. Ewart Esq. DSc".
There are two parts to this object - the gown (004.1) and the hood (004.2). The maker Ede & Ravenscroft were founded in 1689, and have provided robes to universities, churches and the legal profession for over three hundred years.
