IdentifierUMA-SR-000000895Extent16 filesScope and ContentIn 1984, the ACC invited applications from film makers to produce a 30 minute film on the Constitution and the work of the Convention. The Executive Sub-Committee selected Chrysalis Films Pty Ltd to develop the film. The resulting video, scripted by Rob George based on an idea by Terry Jennings and Scott Hicks, directed by Mandy Smith and produced by Open Channel, was launched in Melbourne on 13 August 1986 by Victorian Premier John Cain, Chairman of the Australian Constitutional Convention Council.

This series throws light on the background to the video project, and includes submissions from film makers, research material, script drafts, and correspondence and documents concerning arrangements for the production, launch and distribution of the video.
