IdentifierUMA-SR-000001020Extentnot specifiedScope and ContentThis series consists of architectural drawings for 5 projects designed by Gregory Burgess Architects:
Eltham Library
Brambuk Living Cultural Centre
Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre
Koorie Heritage Trust
Hackford HouseArrangementDrawings and documents were housed by the architects in tubes or boxes given storage numbers as needed. Each number was written on the storage Tube with the building name and purpose of the drawings. For example, the drawings and documents for the Uluru Kata-Tjuta Cultural Centre were in 20 Tubes ranging from Tube 18, “Uluru (presentation drawings, tender drawings, prelim drawings)”, to Tube 368, “Uluru (aerial)”.
Tubes were also numbered in an alpha numeric sequence starting with M: M34, Uluru Floor plan; M54, Eltham Library. The meaning of this arrangement is unclear, but they were used as storage numbers as well.
Documents and photographs were sometimes stored in flat boxes. They were identified by the first letter of the project title as well as the purpose of the documents. For example, Uluru Kata-Tjuta Park Cultural Centre, U (Presentation); or Sydney Myer Music Bowl Refurbishment, S, (Sight Lines Feb [20]00…].
The original Tube and box numbers are recorded as Other IDs in the UMA catalogue.Access StatusAccess restrictions apply for some itemsRequest Access to RecordsRequest records from this Series
