The parchment is quite ornate with decorated headings and red lines. The pencil lines used to write on are visible in a few places. The text is annotated in pencil on the right hand side "repealed by 30 January, 1869".
The parchment is slightly discoloured. The parchment is folded into a square shape with dimensions 16 x 19 cms.
The parchment is numbered 14 on the outside fold which also bears a summary of the contents in faded ink. A stronger ink is used to record the name of the Statute and to note "Signed by Sir Charles Darling, 18 December, 1865".
Seal: The seal is attached to the parchment by a thin blue ribbon. The seal is stored in a brown coloured metal case with diameter 12cms. The seal case could not be opened.Access StatusOpen for public accessRequest TypeRequest unitUnit1999.0088 Unit 0001
