A series of takeovers together with the commencement of manufacturing in Victoria and New South Wales made A.P.P.M. a prominent force within the Australian paper and timber industry. The major shareholders included North Broken Hill Ltd, Broken Hill South Ltd, Australian Glass Manufactureers, Amalgamated Zinc and WH Smith and Company. Later becoming a subsidiary of North Broken Hill, the Company was sold to AMCOR (formerly APM) in 1993.
