The College was administered by a Council elected by members. The College was initially located at 239 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. It then moved to 189a-191 Lonsdale Street. In 1907 the College moved to it's own premises at 193 Spring Strret, Melbourne. All three location were shared with the Dental Hospital. In 1904 the Council of the University of Melbourne agreed to arrangements where the College became affiliated with the University. This arrangement continued until 1962 when the College passed its teaching role over to the University. The 1904 University Statute that established the affilation of the College with the University also provided for the award of the Degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery. The College remained in existence until 1967 when it was wound up and its assets disposed of.
