Agent TypePersonActivities & OccupationsPolitical activistsHistoryMichael Marmach, born of Russian parents, won a scholarship to Melbourne University and graduated in metallurgy in the 1940s. In c.1943 he joined the CPA. He was later prominent in the EYL State Council. He found difficulty obtaining a job in metallurgy post-war due to his politics and worked instead as a builders labourer. He spent 18 months in Poland as a metallurgist and went to World Youth Festivals. He is a mountaineer, photographer and musician, having been in the Austral Singers and Southern Singers with his wife, Marie Muldoon. Michael was also a member of the ERA School Parents' Association. He has contributed many photos to the EYL compilation also held.
