The Australian Leather and Allied Trades Employees' Federation amalgamated in 1945 was one of Victoria's traditional eight-hour craft unions. It suffered from changing markets and fashions as well as the introduction of mechanisation and synthetic materials. It was de-registered in 1972 and amalgamated with the Federated Miscellaneous Workers' Union of Australia.
