Agent TypeOrganisationHistoryThe Australian Mutual Provident Society was established in 1849 with Sir Archibald Michie as its first chairman. Based in Sydney, it opened its Victorian branch in 1863. By 1900, it had become the largest mutual life office in the British Empire and on 12 May 1908 the opening of the London Office was officially approved. AMP Ltd was one of Australia's leading global financial investment companies of the Twentieth Century.
