Formed at the suggestion of Vice-Chancellor Priestley and with the advice of Professor Wood-Jones, Dr. Gwynneth Buchanan and Dr. Reuben Patton, a Provisional Committee was elected to prepare a constitution and the inaugural Meeting was held on 16 August 1935.
