Following his graduation, Pincus sought to enlist in the 1st AIF. Unfortunately his prior medical history prevented this happening. Pincus appears to have entered private practice about 1918 with a surgery in Victoria Parade, Fitzroy and later at 145 and 147 Collins Street, Melbourne. He continued to practice up until his death on 4 November 1969. In 1934 Pincus graduated D.D.Sc. He maintained contact with the College and the Dental Hospital where he was an Honorary Dental Surgeon from 1918 until at least the 1940s.
