Party members eschewed single-issue politics and adopted policies supporting proportional representation in government, comsumer protection, abortion law and police reform, women's rights, and the appointment of Ombudsmen. A trust fund was also set up to rescue Dr Wainer from personal financial difficulty following his abortion campaign. The Party contested one election before folding in 1971.
