The top image is a photoengraving of Collins Street, Melbourne, prior to the construction of Head Office in 1893. At least 20 people are depicted going about their daily business in the foreground. The chemist site on the corner is on the site later occupied by National Mutual. The lower image is a stereotype printing block depicting National Mutual's Melbourne Head Office at 395 Collins Street. This creates a before and after comparative scenario in the same block.
