The calculator was patented by H and M Dickinson, and was England's answer to the French circular 'Tronset' instrument, with some notable modifications. It was designed to add sums of money from 1/2d to £500, although subtraction sums were not supported by this device. It comes in a leather-bound case with blue satin interior.
