Czajor joined the Canberra Youth Theatre in her teens and was later the Jigsaw Theatre Company's first trainee. in 1979 she was among the founders of the experimental theatre company in Canberra - Fools Gallery which also performed in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. Her interests evolved from acting to directing and to broaden her directing experience she moved to Melbourne and worked as an administrator for the University of Melbourne Theatre Group. She was one of the few recipients of a director's development grant from the Australia Council, which recognised her potential to be one of the top directors in Australia. Czajor directed Joanna Murray-Smith's Angry Young Penguins in 1987. In 1988 she was murdered in Thailand near the Burmese Border
