This company merged with The Rio Tinto Company Ltd in 1962 to form The Rio Tinto-Zinc Corporation. At the same time the Australian interests of Consolidated Zinc & The Rio Tinto Company merged to form Conzinc Rio Tinto of Australia Ltd, later CRA Ltd. The two companies, RTZ Corp and CRA combined to form a dual-listed company with one board and head-office in London. The Australian arm, Rio Tinto Ltd, is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
