Agent TypePersonActivities & OccupationsSoldiersHistoryGeorge Roberts was both the Secretary of the employee's section of the Hairdressers' Union and of the Master Hairdressers' Union. In 1903 he was briefly the Labor member of the State Parliament for Richmond until his defeat the following year. Despite several subsequent attempts, Roberts failed to gain a deposit in the municipal contest in Richmond. From 1914 to 1919 he served with distinction in the AIF. After the war he returned to trade union work until his death in a road accident in 1925.
