Educated at Melbourne Grammar School but left in third term 1938. He joined Myer as a stock boy in Ladies' Shoes on 28 Feb 1939 and remained there for some seventeen years during which time he rebuilt Myer's shoe business. He progressed through a number of departments and was appointed a Director of Myer in 1961, Merchandise Director 1964, and Managing Director 1966. In 1969 he was appointed Group Merchandise Director 1969 and Group Managing Director in 1976. He retired 31 Jan 1983. Rosenhain was credited with major expansion in the company into fast foods, finance, banking, liquor and travel. Keith Rosenhain was awarded the CMG in 1981.
